Appointments Available with Sandra Clarke - Reflexologist and Massage Therapist
Reflexology is a treatment based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that relate to every organ, gland and system of the body.
Pressure is applied to the feet, which helps to restore balance to the individual physically, mentally and energetically. It encourages the body to heal itself by removing energy blockages, increasing circulation and reducing tension and stress. Regular treatments can assist with: stress relief, allergy relief, reduction in back and neck tension, promotion of good sleeping habits and improved digestion. No artificial devices or special equipment are associated with this therapy. It is a fully clothed treatment where just the shoes and socks are removed and the client is made comfortable by lying down on the massage table. Sessions are approximately 50 - 60 minutes in duration.
Massage benefits are for both mind and body. It is rare that we take an hour to lie down, close our eyes and just 'be'. An hour's peace and quiet away from a busy world has a definite restorative effect. Massage is beneficial in reducing stress and muscle tightness while increasing joint mobility, circulation, flexibility and immunity. It can reduce many common ailments such as anxiety, insomnia, headaches, bloating & fatigue and helps in restoring balance to the body and mind.
Sandra is certified by ITEC, The National Register of Reflexologists (Ireland), and The Limerick Institute of Massage and Sports Therapy. She will be offering appointments at Cruachan Aí Heritage Centre, Tulsk, for the coming months.
